Hi! My name is Lin.
I am currently a PhD candidate in Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD. Prior to my PhD, I received an MSc in Mathematics from National University of Singapore, and a BSc in Mathematics & Economics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
As technology rapidly evolves and people-centric practices gain prominence, information—or its absence—increasingly creates value, shapes incentives, and determines utility for customers and employees. Using information as an operational lever—be it a product, an incentive mechanism, or a driver of customer satisfaction in service—I study how organizations adapt their operations to people-centric practices and technological advancements.
My current research focuses on two main areas: 1) design of information transparency, and 2) management of information products.
I am on the 2024-2025 academic job market.
